For 2027, GISS is offering scholarships for selected students entering Year 10 and Year 11.
Scholarships Available
- Year 10 Scholarship: A scholarship of up to 50% of tuition fees is available for students entering Year 10 in 2027.
- Year 11 GIB Scholarship - Internal Students: A scholarship of up to 50% of tuition fees is available for current GISS students entering Year 11 in 2027. This scholarship is linked to enrolment in the bilingual 91̽»¨ International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (GIB).
- Year 11 Scholarship – External Students: A scholarship of up to 50% of tuition fees is available for new students entering Year 11 in 2027.
Who can apply?
- Scholarships are open to eligible existing and new students entering Year 10 or Year 11 in 2027.
- Students applying for the Year 11 External scholarship should have native-speaker or near-native English fluency and a strong interest in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, as well as learning in a multicultural and bilingual environment.
Application Requirements
All scholarship applicants are asked to submit:
- a personal statement outlining their motivation, interest in studying at GISS, and future goals
- copies of their two most recent school reports and/or the latest NAPLAN results (if your current school is in Australia).
- a reference letter
The personal statement should also explain what makes the applicant a strong candidate for a GISS scholarship and, if selected, how they intend to contribute to and leave their mark within the GISS community.
Expectations of Scholarship Recipients
GISS scholarship recipients are expected to demonstrate:
- good to very good academic performance
- exemplary behaviour
- proactive engagement in and contribution to the school community

Students currently enrolled at another school:
Step 1: Please start your GISS application form online and upload the following documents as part of the process including:
- copies of your birth certificate and passport(s)
- your last four school reports and
- the latest NAPLAN results (if your current school is in Australia)
Please note that there is no need to pay the application fee when prompted. This means you will not be able to fully complete the application or receive a confirmation at this stage. However, we will still be able to view all uploaded documents and entered details, and we will be notified once you send us your email as indicated below.
Step 2: Send an email to ibscholarship@giss.nsw.edu.au including all required documents as outlined above
Application Timeline:
Applications open from Friday, 26 June 2026 and close on Saturday, 15 August 2026. Scholarship outcomes will be shared by Tuesday, 15 September 2026 at the latest.
